Kimpur Aims to Boost Capacity with New Investments

Kimpur, Turkey's largest domestically-owned and professional polyurethane systems house by production capacity and sales volume, maintained steady growth throughout the pandemic period with increased sales volumes and new investments. Kimpur, which increased its production capacity by 84.6% over the past five years, raising it from 65,000 tonnes to 120,000 tonnes, determined that its current facility of 15,000 m² could not accommodate further growth plans. The company therefore decided to invest in a new production facility and signed a preliminary agreement for land in the Düzce Gümüşova Organized Industrial Zone. At this facility, between 2022 and 2024, the company aims to commission an additional 50,000-tonne polyurethane systems capacity alongside a 5,000-tonne PET Recycling Facility, with the objective of using and selling products in the environmentally-friendly product range. Cavidan Karaca, CEO of Kimpur, stated that the company's growth plans are not limited to domestic firms alone. A preliminary agreement has been signed to establish a joint venture with a local producer in Europe with 10,000-tonne capacity, and the company will be able to share details on the matter by the end of August.
