Kimpur Joins SAHA Istanbul
Kimpur, one of Turkey's 100% domestically-owned polyurethane systems manufacturers, has completed its membership in SAHA Istanbul (Defense, Aviation and Space Cluster Association), Europe's largest industrial cluster, with the aim of elevating its work to the highest level within the scope of projects it has developed for the defense industry, following its SaSaD membership.
With 39 years of experience, Kimpur, one of the leading companies in the polyurethane sector, continues project work to develop a wide range of products in line with defense industry needs, from advanced technology polyurethane systems for ballistic applications to specialized elastomers for underwater sonar, and high-strength, lightweight specialized coating systems. The company joined SAHA Istanbul following its SaSaD membership, in line with its objectives to increase activities related to its project work developed on producing raw materials for the defense industry.
SAHA Istanbul, established in 2015 through the initiatives of 27 founding members with the objective of capturing common synergy through cooperation among 65,000 industrial companies operating in the North Marmara corridor, aims for Istanbul's industry, which generates half of Turkey's national income, to produce high-value-added and technological products.
SAHA Istanbul, which envisions creating a strong ecosystem by supporting collaboration among its members for Turkey's defense, aviation and space sector to increase localization rates, acquire critical technologies it does not yet possess, and advance to higher levels in international competition, supports relevant government authorities, science and research institutions and universities with the aim of guiding, informing and mentoring its members.

Noting that they have a well-equipped research and development team of 27 people, Kimpur Chief Executive Officer Cavidan Karaca stated that they have held an R&D Center certificate from the Ministry of Industry and Technology since May 2017 and continue to produce sustainable and high-value-added products with these expert teams in the sector. Emphasizing that they develop new products tailored to both universities and their customers, CEO Karaca said: "We are pleased to serve our defense industry and our country with our current projects and new projects we will add to our portfolio.
