Kimpur Strengthens Its Position in the European Construction Sector with ReMade Certification

Kimpur, one of the region's leading polyurethane systems houses, has received ReMade® certification for its products aimed at the sandwich panel sector. The certification covers three polyester polyols and two rigid polyurethane foam systems used in sandwich panel production within Kimpur's existing product portfolio. The certified products support European sandwich panel manufacturers in their compliance processes with the Minimum Environmental Criteria (Criteri Ambientali Minimi – CAM).

Kimpur, a leading polyurethane systems supplier in the region, has obtained ReMade® certification for its sandwich panel sector products. The certification covers three polyester polyols and two rigid polyurethane foam systems used in sandwich panel production, which are part of Kimpur's current product portfolio. The certified products support European sandwich panel manufacturers' compliance timelines for Minimum Environmental Criteria (Criteri Ambientali Minimi – CAM).

Kimpur has strengthened its efforts in sustainable product development and integration of recycled sources into production with a new certification. The ReMade® certification covering five products used in sandwich panel manufacturing independently verifies the proportion of recycled content in the products and traceability throughout the supply chain.

Kimpur had announced that it began PET-based polyester polyol production at its Düzce facility in 2025. The company has documented its work in this area with ReMade® certification, taking another important step in integrating recycled PET-derived raw materials into its product portfolio.

In evaluations carried out by certification body ICMQ, the source of post-consumer recycled PET inputs and their traceability throughout the supply chain as well as production records were examined. Following the process in which the calculation methodology based on mass balance principles was also evaluated, the recycled content ratios of the final products covered by the certification were independently verified.

Recycled Content Ratio Reaches 40 Percent
The products covered by the certification offer recycled content options at varying ratios tailored to customers' different application requirements. The post-consumer recycled PET-derived content ratio can reach a maximum of 40 percent by weight on a per-product basis.

In this way, reintroducing post-consumer PET waste into the raw material recycling cycle, enabling more efficient use of resources and converting waste into value-added products is supported.

Kimpur's approach provides customers with measurable and verified alternatives during a period when the use of recycled content and environmental performance of products are gaining increased importance, particularly in the European construction sector.

Verified Content, Maintained Technical Performance
The certified products offer technical and mechanical properties comparable to conventional equivalents while being usable in customers' existing production lines. In this way, sandwich panel manufacturers can meet expectations regarding recycled content use without sacrificing technical performance.

The independent verification of the recycled content used in the products also helps manufacturers present their sustainability goals in a more measurable and transparent manner.

Under this scope, the first commercial shipment of the certified products to a sandwich panel manufacturer in Europe has also been completed.

Tuncay Halat, Assistant General Manager of Sales, Marketing and Sustainability at Kimpur, made the following statement regarding the development:

"The ReMade® certification independently verifies the proportion of recycled content used in our products and the traceability of this content throughout the supply chain. In this way, we are offering our European customers product options with measurable and certified recycled content ratios. With these products that do not compromise on technical and mechanical performance, we are contributing to our customers' goals of reducing environmental impact and supporting their processes of meeting relevant standard requirements. We believe this development will expand our collaborations in the European construction sector and contribute to our goal of increasing market share in the region."

Kimpur continues to integrate recycled sources into product development processes in line with its sustainable product management approach. The company aims to contribute to customers' sustainability goals by developing polyurethane raw materials with recycled content that is measurable, traceable and independently verified.

Kimpur's ReMade® certification number RE1219 was issued on 15 July 2026. The certification will remain valid until 14 July 2029, subject to successful completion of required surveillance audits.
