ELIX Polymers strengthens ABS market position with new investment and supports expansion plans

ELIX Polymers, a thermoplastics manufacturer located in the Polígono Sur industrial complex in Tarragona, announced a new investment valued at EUR 4 million aimed at upgrading its ABS powder production facilities. The company will continue to develop and strengthen this new project, which it plans to implement starting in 2018, throughout this year and in 2019.ABS powder is used as an intermediate product to manufacture ABS compounds and as an impact resistance enhancer in other thermoplastic compounds. With this new investment plan, ELIX Polymers will secure access to this intermediate product for its own ABS and ABS compounds production and will strengthen its position as an ABS powder supplier in the European market. This investment is shaped within the framework of ELIX Polymers' strategic plan, which, following years of growth, will consolidate the company as a significant producer of ABS and ABS compounds in higher-level specialized applications and segments.
