Cosentino Releases Sustainability Report
Cosentino Group, a global brand in composite surfaces, has disclosed its progress and achievements in innovation, R&D, energy model, circular economy, education and social action through its Sustainability Report.
In 2022, Cosentino invested more than EUR 37 million to protect the environment, and distinguished itself through actions including 99% water reuse, zero water discharge, and 100% renewable electricity use.
Cosentino, which produces innovative, sustainable surfaces for the design and architecture world, has published its Sustainability Report, which contains the company's performance, milestones and achievements in social, environmental and good governance areas.
In 2022, Cosentino invested more than EUR 37 million with the aim of environmental protection and stood out through actions such as 99% water reuse, zero water discharge, and 100% renewable electricity use. In addition, it pioneered the development of sustainable products such as carbon-neutral Dekton® and the proprietary HybriQ® technology specific to Silestone® surfaces.
Reduced carbon footprint by 6%
In 2022, Cosentino reduced its carbon footprint by 6% compared to 2021 and recovered 16% of all solid waste produced at its Industrial Park in Cantoria (Almería). Within the company, the use of recycled raw materials in Silestone® and Dekton® production accounted for 7.6% of total raw material consumption. Last year, the company implemented a new industrial energy model based on renewable energy sources and including water resource management, which covered approximately 15% of the facility's annual electricity consumption.About Cosentino Group
