The company developing heat-emitting smart textile products will mark the beginning of a domestic heated fabric era in the automotive industry. Through the 'Entrepreneurship Has Value' program, Aksa Akrilik contributes to projects developing innovative and sustainable technologies. The company will invest in İltema, which produces smart textiles, at a company valuation of USD 3 million. The company developing heat-emitting smart textile products will manufacture woven fabrics using conductive carbon fiber. The next-generation patented technology utilized during the company's production process is noted as a first for the textile sector.

"Support for Innovative Ventures"

Heating textiles manufactured by the company with Aksa Akrilik's support have wide-ranging applications. In addition to products frequently used in daily life such as bedding, blankets, coats, and sleeping bags, applications in the automotive industry are also possible. Through heated seat fabrics and in-vehicle heating textiles, a domestic materials era will begin in this sector. İltema Co-founder Ayhan Prepol noted that USD 10 million in annual imports are made for seat heaters, stating that with Aksa Akrilik's support they aim to keep this figure within Turkey. The company, which holds two silver medals from the Turkish Patent Institute for patents it has obtained, succeeded in reaching the finals of Techxtile Start Up Challenge, where innovative ventures creating technological value for the textile sector compete.

The heat-emitting smart fabrics produced with next-generation technology will significantly reduce certain imports. With the synergy created by the inclusion of carbon fiber produced by DowAksa, our jointly managed partnership that began operations in 2012, in the manufactured smart fabrics, we will continue to add economic and technological value to our country," he stated.
