Türkiye's leading energy company Tüpraş has added another investment to its transformation efforts pursued in line with its "Enerjimiz Geleceğe" vision. Having taken an investment decision for four new Suezmax-type tankers to be built in South Korea, the company will increase its crude oil transportation capacity with this investment exceeding USD 370 million, while also strengthening supply security and operational flexibility.

Türpaş, Turkey's leading energy company, has added another investment to its transformation initiatives carried out in line with its "Our Energy for the Future" vision. The company has made an investment decision for four new Suezmax-type tankers to be built in South Korea, and with this investment exceeding USD 370 million, it will increase its crude oil transportation capacity while also strengthening supply security and operational flexibility.

Türpaş, which continues its operations to meet Turkey's energy needs uninterruptedly, is expanding its maritime fleet with four new crude oil tankers. The Suezmax-type vessels, which will be built in South Korea and each will have a carrying capacity of approximately 157,000 DWT, are planned to join the fleet within 2029. The project, with a total investment amount exceeding USD 370 million, will further strengthen the company's logistics infrastructure.

Stronger Infrastructure in Crude Oil Logistics
Ditaş, a subsidiary of Türpaş engaged in maritime transportation and logistics activities, recently achieved the status of having the largest Turkish-flagged tanker fleet with the addition of the T. Riva tanker to its fleet on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Turkish Cabotage and the Koç Group. With the delivery of the new tankers, Türpaş aims to significantly increase its capacity in crude oil transportation while further advancing its competitive strength in domestic and international maritime transportation.

Strategic Contribution to Energy Supply Chain
Türpaş, with four refineries located in İzmit, İzmir, Kırıkkale and Batman, has an annual crude oil processing capacity of 30 million tons in total, and is among Europe's seventh-largest refining company and the most complex refineries in the Mediterranean basin.

As of 2025, the company supplies 31 different types of crude oil from 16 countries including Turkey, and exports to different regions of the world, particularly Europe and Africa. With the new tanker investment, Türpaş aims to increase the resilience of its supply chain while supporting its global operations with stronger logistics infrastructure.
