Long Journey Begins for Liquefied Natural Gas Project Kosmos announced that the floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) for the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) liquefied natural gas project has departed from the COSCO shipyard in China and is beginning its voyage via Singapore to the project site on the maritime border between Mauritania and Senegal. The voyage will cover approximately 12,000 nautical miles, with the vessel expected to arrive at its destination in the second quarter of this year. Kosmos President and CEO Andrew G. Inglis stated: "The departure of the GTA FPSO from the Chinese shipyard represents an important milestone for the project. By the end of 2022, the project was approximately 90% complete. We look forward to an active 2023 in which we anticipate reaching a series of important milestones for the project and the company." Source
