Petrol Ofisi Madeni Yağlar and Sarten Receive Two Awards Each

Sarten, a manufacturer of metal and plastic packaging for industrial products, paints, food and cosmetics sectors, won two separate awards from ÇEVKO and Istanbul Chamber of Industry (İSO) for its 20-litre canister project developed for Petrol Ofisi. Sarten Ambalaj Chief Executive Officer Zeki Sarıbekir stated that they continue their operations with an environmentally conscious approach, continuously reducing material weights to minimise the impact of packaging on the environment. Speaking about improvements in energy efficiency and bringing production facilities closer to customers while emphasising local resources, Sarıbekir said, "We are working to reduce fire waste and scrap, and through all our other efforts, we strive to minimise our impact on the environment." Petrol Ofisi Mineral Oils Marketing Manager İbrahim Başa said that the award-winning project delivers significant benefits in terms of efficiency from every perspective.

15 Per Cent Energy Savings

In Sarten's Petrol Ofisi 20-litre new mineral oil canister project, which was awarded by two different institutions, the product's function and performance were improved while material usage was reduced. Cycle times were shortened, delivering more efficient production. The weight of the canisters decreased from 1,100 grams to 1,050 grams, with improvements of over 10 per cent achieved in cycle time. The energy savings obtained through the shortened cycle time reached 15 per cent. The amount of material saved through this project in 2017 alone was 28,250 kg.
