Aramco signs contract with Kalpataru

Aramco and Kalpataru sign agreement. The new deal will support Aramco's efforts to diversify energy sources. Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL), a leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm from India, has signed three contracts valued at USD 906.6 million with Aramco to expand the gas supply network in Saudi Arabia. These contracts were signed for three separate sections of the third expansion phase of the Main Gas System Network (MGS-3) in Saudi Arabia. The contract includes the laying of more than 800 km of lateral gas pipelines. KPIL is a specialized EPC firm operating in energy transmission and distribution, buildings and factories, water supply and irrigation, railways, oil and gas pipelines, overpasses and metro rail, highways and airports. The company executes projects in approximately 30 countries and has a geographic scope covering more than 70 countries. Under the third phase of the USD 10 billion MGS project, numerous power plants will transition from oil to natural gas. This expansion will support Aramco's efforts to meet Saudi Arabia's growing energy demand and achieve energy diversification by reducing liquid fuel consumption. Source
