The LabRAM Odyssey replaces the best-selling LabRAM HR Evolution. Developed on the same platform and now more user-friendly, the LabRAM Odyssey offers new functions in 2D and 3D, enhanced confocal imaging capabilities and is fully compatible with all market requirements.
The extensive range of customized applications in the LabSpec 6 software package allows the software to be configured to adapt to specific needs and to evolve for those needs. The LabRAM Odyssey also integrates the unique SWIFT™ and DuoScan™ fast Raman imaging technologies, as well as two new calibration tools: VRM and Objective Adjustment.
VRM (Video-Raman Matching) enables perfect alignment between video image and Raman map positions. This type of calibration is necessary to correlate optical images with chemical images obtained by the Raman microscope.
Objective Adjustment allows the area of interest to be kept in the field of view regardless of which objective is used, by adjusting the sample position only in the XYZ directions.
The LabRAM Odyssey can also be configured to enable semiconductor process engineers to characterize different steps in a timely manner and with high confidence.
The LabRAM Odyssey Semiconductor is an ideal tool for photoluminescence and Raman imaging on wafers up to 300 mm diameter, with a 300 mm × 300 mm automated sample stage and automated objective turret. It offers a high spatial resolution mode to detect and identify defects and sub-micron inhomogeneities and provides insight into their origins. The LabRAM Odyssey Semiconductor includes the DuoScan imaging function, which allows variable-sized laser macro spots for full wafer maps and high spatial sub-micron step scanning for small area maps. Combined with a wide range of spectral detection from deep UV to near IR, the available excitation laser range makes the LabRAM Odyssey Semiconductor a two-in-one Raman and photoluminescence spectroscopy tool. The "mid-wafer bow" autofocus function overcomes potential sample/holder tilt and provides reliability in uniformity response.
