Artificial intelligence is now being used in many fields. The healthcare sector is among them. Some applications are used for disease diagnosis, others for data analysis. Drug development is one of the areas where artificial intelligence is applied. A first has occurred in this field—a drug has been produced for the first time using entirely artificial intelligence. Moreover, while drug development normally takes 5 years, artificial intelligence completed it in less than 12 months. The drug developed for patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder will be tested on humans. It was noted that in the production phase of the drug developed through collaboration between the British and Japanese pharmaceutical companies, numerous decisions had to be made to find the correct molecule. Emphasis was placed on artificial intelligence making these decisions quickly and accurately.
