DNA Diagnostics Center Launches New Product DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC), a world leader in genetic relationship and consumer testing and part of the Eurofins network of companies, announces the launch of Peekaboo™ Click, the latest addition to the Peekaboo Early Gender DNA Test product family. The Peekaboo™ test enables expectant mothers to discover their baby's sex from a simple blood sample taken from the mother with 99.5% accuracy at a very early stage of pregnancy1. Peekaboo™ Click allows capillary blood collection from the mother's arm using a home collection device starting from the sixth week of pregnancy, making sample collection easier and more accessible for expectant mothers. Users then send the sample to DDC's laboratory, where after analysis, accurate results are delivered to the customer on the same day. Like the original Peekaboo™ Early Gender DNA Test, Peekaboo™ Click delivers results with exceptional accuracy and convenience by using PCR technology to detect the presence of Y chromosomes from cell-free fetal DNA isolated from a maternal blood sample collected by the user. Mike Sheaffer, Founder of American Pregancy Association, said: "DNA Diagnostics Center continues to lead innovation and quality in consumer genetic testing with highly accredited laboratory services and excellent customer service. We are excited that Peekaboo™ Click will provide expectant women with a much more comfortable and simple solution for determining their baby's gender at home." Designed with the experience of expectant mothers in mind, Peekaboo™ Click offers a more convenient, reliable and comfortable alternative to traditional fingerstick blood collection. Women simply attach the device to the upper part of their arm, click a button to activate a small needle, and wait approximately two minutes for blood to begin collecting directly into the device's tube. 1. The 99.5% accuracy was validated in a clinical study of 215 pregnant women between 7 and 39 weeks of gestation using venous blood collection. Data is published on the peekaboogendertest website.
