Discovery Life Sciences Announces Major Strategic Expansions
With support from the State of Alabama and HudsonAlpha, Discovery opened its new 93,000 square-meter global headquarters building in Huntsville. This distinctive facility brings together Discovery's biospecimen products with multiple atomic biomarker and analytical services under one roof.
Discovery provides access to leading genomic, proteomics, molecular pathology, flow cytometry and cell biology technologies at a scale serving R&D programs from target assay validation requiring single or sequential technology assessments to the world's largest global clinical studies, as well as access to one of the world's largest bio-sample inventories. The specimen chain of custody remains within this single facility, ensuring the highest quality and strict regulatory compliance.
Discovery's AllCells division also relocated to its new divisional center at 1640 South Loop Rd Suite 250, Alameda, CA 94502. The new AllCells facility features:
- 20% increase in collection capacity for faster, more efficient order fulfillment. - Clean rooms for cell production and processing that meet EU standards. - An enhanced donor experience with easy accessibility, ample parking and a modern and welcoming atmosphere. Explore HT has the capacity to measure more than 5,300 proteins while increasing processing capacity to thousands of samples weekly and delivering data four times faster than previous generations. This technology significantly complements the Proteomics Center's existing capabilities such as Olink Explore, Target, Focus, Flex, mass spectrometry and Luminex-based services. Given Discovery's rapid growth and increasing customer interest in its diverse offerings, the company launched a new corporate website designed to enhance the digital customer experience. The new dls.com features a modernized design and intuitive user interface to provide a more informative and seamless digital experience that more accurately reflects the company's mission and highlights the advanced branded capabilities of the AllCells and Gentest divisions. Discovery CEO Glenn Bilawsky said, "Following 13 acquisitions over the past five years, these significant developments mark the next growth phase in our journey," and added, "We are reshaping the life sciences laboratory services sector. With these enhancements, we are better equipped to advance science and accelerate our customers' research and development toward new diagnostics and treatments to improve patient care."
