Opella, a standalone consumer health company completing its first year of operations, has achieved significant milestones in scientific research, sustainability and health literacy while continuing to expand on a global scale.
As Opella completed its first year operating as an independent consumer health company, it undertook important initiatives throughout 2025 that strengthened its leadership in self-care. The company, which maintains its position as the world's third-largest player in over-the-counter (OTC) products and vitamins, minerals and supplements (VMS) categories, has continued its investments in innovation, scientific research and sustainability at a steady pace.
Throughout the year, focused on generating scientific knowledge and developing health literacy, Opella secured acceptance for 37 scientific publications and launched 42 new research studies. The company also reached more than 158,000 healthcare professionals through educational programs, scientific meetings, symposiums and professional engagement activities.
Leading Steps in Sustainability
Achieving significant successes in sustainability, Opella became the first global consumer health company to receive B Corp certification. The company's net-zero emission targets were approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). During the same period, Opella continued its investments to support annual production capacity exceeding 2 billion units.
