Key Tips When Formulating:
Thanks to its small particle size, Mearlmica® FF creates a neutral background for various surfaces:
• For matte finishes, Mearlmica® FF can be used together with components such as kaolin or silica to develop low-gloss appearance and smooth texture.
• For shimmer or sparkle finishes, Mearlmica® FF can be used with bismuth-based performance minerals such as Bi-Lite® 20 in addition to any of our effect pigment products in our portfolio.
Mearlmica® FF Creates a Bright Background in Powder Group Products:
• With simple touches to formulations, thanks to Mearlmica® FF, you can create talc-free formulas while preserving vibrant tones.
• Due to its low refractive index, Mearlmica® FF is optically neutral when entering anhydrous or emulsion-based formulations.
Mearlmica® FF Can Also Be Used to Create Formulations Such as Loose Powder:
• In pressed powder formulations, the compressibility of Mearlmica® FF can be increased by combining it with high-density performance minerals as in other flat materials.
◊ Bismuth oxychloride-based products such as BiLite® 20 or Pearl-Glo® M can provide the desired texture and sedimentation stability.
◊ In addition to our portfolio of performance minerals, other compression aids such as kaolin or metal soaps can be used to improve stability.
