L'Oréal and NVIDIA Partner on AI-Powered Beauty Innovation

L'Oréal is expanding its collaboration with NVIDIA, one of the global leaders in artificial intelligence, opening the door to a new era in computational chemistry and beauty technologies. The new partnership aims to accelerate beauty and skincare innovations through AI-powered molecular modeling.
L'Oreal expands collaboration with NVIDIA, a global leader in artificial intelligence, opening a new chapter in computational chemistry and beauty technologies. The new partnership aims to accelerate beauty and skincare innovations through AI-powered molecular modeling.
Next-generation formulations with atomic-scale prediction
Under the collaboration, L'Oreal is integrating NVIDIA's machine learning infrastructure "Alchemy" into its Research and Innovation processes. This technology enables pre-simulation of molecular behavior and interactions at the atomic level.
This approach allows scientists to test thousands of variables simultaneously, providing significant speed and accuracy advantages in new formula development processes.
R&D process up to 100 times faster
The developed AI-powered system analyzes product performance and texture characteristics in a digital environment, significantly shortening laboratory processes. This enables results up to 100 times faster compared to traditional methods.
Focus on photoprotection and skin tone
The partnership focuses particularly on two critical areas:
-Photoprotection (sun protection)
-Skin tone management
Through AI-powered predictive modeling, optimal formulations can be identified before moving to physical testing, enabling the development of higher-performing products.

"We are converting scientific discoveries into consumer benefits"
Barbara Lavernos, L'Oreal Executive Vice President for Research, Innovation and Technology, commented on the collaboration:
"By applying AI-powered molecular simulations to our active ingredients, we are directly converting atomic-scale scientific discoveries into consumer benefits. This accelerates our process of developing more effective and accessible products."
NVIDIA Vice President of Retail and Consumer Products Artificial Intelligence Azita Martin emphasized that this integration will set a new standard in formulation by simulating component performance at the atomic level.
Technology-driven beauty vision strengthens
With this collaboration, L'Oreal is advancing its AI and science-based approach further, aiming to set new standards in the beauty sector. The company showcased this new generation of predictive formulation technology at the NVIDIA Artificial Intelligence Conference, demonstrating its technology-driven vision.
