Recyclable Cosmetic Pumps Made Entirely from Plastic Materials

Sustainability in Cosmetic Packaging

The concept of sustainability was first introduced in the United Nations' "Our Common Future" report in 1983. Globally, it has been defined as a future vision of meeting consumers' daily needs through production without harming ecological balance. In the current period, the reality that our natural resources are not infinite has become an urgent concern. All sectors have come under obligation to use our natural resources without damaging ecological balance. The fact that sustainable production can only be achieved not solely with manufacturing sectors but together with all stakeholders—states, governments, local administrations, and ultimately consumers—is clear. States are taking various enforcement decisions in this area, while companies and institutions are conducting serious work through long-term planning to formulate methods for more efficient use of existing resources while producing without environmental harm. Together with these institutions, consumers have also become increasingly conscious on this matter. Recyclable packaging, biodegradable materials, and products free of microplastics are characteristic of the packaging sector, which is where sustainability receives the most attention. Regarding the integration of recyclable packaging into the sector, HD Uluslararası, which has represented CLC (China Luenchong Dispensing Pump) for 23 years, has focused on producing packaging that is entirely recyclable and manufactured using entirely recyclable raw materials based on demands from the MENA (Middle East North Africa) region for which it is responsible. Initially, the use of recycled raw materials in production was at 30 percent; by the end of 2021, this was increased to 100 percent. The raw material used in these special pumps manufactured by CLC is produced from 100 percent PCR (Processed post-consumer materials). The relevant certification is presented below. Spring and Product Mechanism Structure

Additionally, it is an ideal product for manufacturers who experience oxidation problems due to metal springs in contact with the product inside the packaging. (Figure 3) All-plastic pumps are pumps manufactured entirely from plastic materials, including the spring mechanism inside—100 percent recyclable, compliant with international standards, and non-toxic. Among customers' greatest expectations is that the raw materials and suppliers used in this regard are documentable.
