Farmasi Cosmetics Brand Achieves Economic Success
Turkey's direct-sales brand Farmasi closed 2020 as the star of the pandemic period, demonstrating strong success across 26 countries, generating USD 500 million in revenue and enlisting 4 million entrepreneurs.
Now positioned as one of Europe's largest integrated facilities with nine factories, Farmasi has launched a major investment drive in the United States and will have opened its 10th facility, planned as a dietary supplement plant, by year-end. The brand channels all profits from exports into production and facility investments, allocating 10 percent of its annual budget to R&D for new product development.
Farmasi Board Member Emre Tuna stated: "While the economic crisis deepened by the pandemic has forced many companies to downsize, we at the Farmasi Family have sustained our growth momentum through our innovative approach. The biggest reason for this success was the strength of our production volume and our export of high-value-added products. We doubled our export figures despite all the adverse conditions of COVID."
10 factories by year-end
With the new dietary supplement facility scheduled for completion by year-end, Farmasi will increase its factory count to 10 and sets increasingly ambitious growth targets each year. The number of white-collar employees at Farmasi continues to grow, and the company will relocate to a new office building constructed at the same site as its Ömerli factory at the end of February. The new building reflects the brand's corporate identity through its colorful design while aiming to boost employee motivation and productivity through its natural character.Rapid growth in the United States
The brand, which entered the American market in 2019, closed 2020 with pride as the fastest-growing Turkish beauty company in America. Farmasi is preparing to enter Mexico, one of the world's five largest markets, in April this year, with plans to subsequently enter Canada, Germany, Japan, South Korea and China. Among the brand's long-term objectives, having achieved strong success in its current markets, are becoming one of the world's top 10 cosmetics companies and establishing itself as a global brand.Advertisement
