Clariant is introducing beauty brands to its new BeautyCraft Boosters Skincare and Cleansing collections, enabling them to satisfy consumers with individually customizable, high-performance products.
BeautyCraft Boosters deliver inspiring, ready-to-use formulations to provide a transformative Personal Care experience addressing end-user and regimen versatility. Each collection contains a base formula and multiple booster variants designed to enhance or modify the base functionality, answering consumers' desire for greater control.
Tori Dunn, Application Chemist at Clariant and formulator behind these boosters, said: "When it comes to a person's skin or hair care needs, no two days are the same. Our BeautyCraft Booster collections empower brands to put the consumer in the driver's seat of their personal care regimen, giving individuals hands-on control over what matters at any given time. By simply adding a few drops of a specific booster to a base moisturizer or cleanser, that product can transform into a much-needed exfoliating scrub, a mattifying lotion, or even an anti-frizz, rinse-off hair shampoo. Simple yet highly effective—the personalization possibilities are endless."
Clariant's new concept addresses a wide range of current beauty consumer needs—from delivering a WOW factor and transformative experience, to lightweight formulations, naturally derived ingredients, environmental label compliance, and crucially, data-backed efficacy. New texture and color changes not only enhance appeal but also add the tangible benefit of feeling or seeing product transformation in action.
Base formulas and boosters incorporate various lightweight functional ingredients and actives. These range from light sugar-derived surfactants such as GlucoTain® Sense and GlucoTain Care (excellent sensorial additives), to actives like BioDTox® which provide robust antioxidant protection against pollutants. Supporting these formulations, Clariant has validated a series of claims through tests such as skin hydration, swelling test, and puffiness assessment. These results can help brands deliver products backed by reliable, proven claims.
