The ECRM Prague Cosmetics Sector Trade Delegation, organized by the İstanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association (İKMİB) under the coordination of the Turkish Ministry of Trade, brought together the Turkish cosmetics sector with international buyers in Czechia. Over 620 bilateral business meetings were held as part of the delegation.

An ECRM Prague Cosmetics Sectoral Trade Delegation organized by the Istanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (İKMİB) under the coordination of the Turkish Ministry of Trade brought together the Turkish cosmetics sector with international buyers in Czechia. The delegation facilitated more than 620 bilateral business meetings.

On the first day of the delegation program, the Turkish Ambassador to Prague Metin Feyzioğlu and Prague Trade Advisor Arzu Yıldırım participated, while Zehra Tezel Atalay, Specialist at the Turkish Ministry of Trade, accompanied the delegation as an observer.

More than 620 bilateral meetings held
Within the scope of the delegation, 13 Turkish companies conducted bilateral business meetings with 109 buyer companies over 3 days at the event held in Prague. Throughout the program, more than 620 bilateral business meetings took place.

The Czech market holds strategic importance for European market access
In the product category covering essential oils, cosmetics and soaps, the countries with the highest exports were Iraq (USD 161.9 million), the United States (USD 155.1 million) and Russia (USD 150.1 million) respectively. These were followed by the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Iran, the United Kingdom, France and Germany.

While the European continent remains one of Turkey's most important export markets, the Czech market also holds growth potential for the Turkish cosmetics sector. Turkey's cosmetics exports to Czechia in 2024 reached USD 18.63 million.

Adil Pelister: "Turkish cosmetics sector is strengthening in global markets through quality and added value"
İKMİB Board Chairman Adil Pelister emphasized that the delegation held in Prague represents an important step toward increasing the sector's effectiveness in the European market, stating: "Our Turkish cosmetics sector has risen to a stronger position in international markets in recent years through R&D, quality and sustainable production capabilities. The most concrete evidence of this is that we increased our sector's exports by 11.8 percent in 2025 to USD 2.3 billion. With the ECRM Cosmetics Sectoral Trade Delegation we organized in Prague, we aimed to bring our companies together with major European buyers and open the way for new collaborations. As İKMİB, we will continue to support our companies' access to new markets in line with our high value-added export vision."
