A Major Step in Digitalization: "Smart Warehouse System" As the world accelerated digitalization efforts with the pandemic, the largest companies in sectors completed the transition to fully intelligent systems. Sapro completed Industry 3.0 through robotization activities in production and operation processes and continues its digitalization projects without interruption within the scope of Industry 4.0 across all processes. The company is transitioning to a 2 million dollar smart warehouse system to achieve significant time savings. Wet wipes sector's largest exporter in Turkey, Sapro is transitioning to a "Smart Warehouse System" by raising production standards to the highest level. Sapro, which has launched a digitalization drive across the company, has begun transferring all business processes to the digital environment. Sapro Chairman of the Executive Board Murat Gönül noted that the company has completed Industry 3.0 within the framework of its robotization process in production, and over the past 1.5 years has begun digitalization work on all factory processes within the scope of Industry 4.0 efforts. Emphasizing that as an export-focused company they started digitalization work from sales processes, Murat Gönül stated that they are implementing projects to manage all end-to-end processes from order receipt to delivery through an automation-based system fully independent of personnel.

Offering significant time savings

Sapro Chairman of the Executive Board Murat Gönül continued: "Our smart warehouse system will be a 2 million dollar investment. Products will be collected automatically without any need for manual intervention and transported to the shipping ramp. This system will provide us with significant time savings first and foremost. Issues that could cause any errors will be reduced to zero, not just minimized. Product transfers will be carried out without requiring manual transfer operations like pallet jacks, so there will be no damage risk. Shipping operations that normally take 1.5-2 hours will be reduced to as little as 15 minutes. Emphasizing the great importance of the Smart Warehouse System, Murat Gönül noted that warehouses currently operated manually will have a capacity of 20 thousand pallets with the new investment and will operate with full automation without human contact.
