Turkuaz Healthcare Increases Its Export Share

Medical gel manufacturer Turkuaz Healthcare shares new developments to increase production and export capacity for innovative products. Turkuaz Healthcare, which qualified for state incentives under the "Technology-Driven Industrial Initiative" program implemented by the Ministry of Technology, will increase the export share in total sales to 80 percent through the facility to be established within the project scope. The company, which aims to significantly reduce the import share in Turkey with the new product group qualifying for incentives, targets increasing the number of countries to which it exports through new investments. Medical Turkuaz Healthcare, which produces and exports a wide portfolio ranging from chemicals to disinfectants and antiseptic products, sexual health products to consumer health products, has qualified for state incentives under the Ministry of Industry and Technology's "Technology-Driven Industrial Initiative" program. Within the scope of the government project aimed at increasing the production of high-technology value-added products manufactured in Turkey, it will establish a new production facility for burn gel and burn dressing product groups. With the facility having approximately 8,500 square meters of closed area covering production areas, laboratories, warehouses and administrative areas, the company will increase the export share in total sales to 80 percent. "Our R&D center develops numerous projects every year"

Turkuaz Healthcare CEO Ömer Koç, stating that the majority of burn care products in the sector come from abroad, said that with the new product group qualifying for incentives, imports in this category would decrease significantly. Koç made the following comments on the matter: "The transformation of our new product developed in our R&D center into such an investment and its recognition and support as a strategic product for our country has created a positive impact for both our business and our team. With our R&D center, we develop numerous projects every year; we focus on innovative, high-performance and value-added products. Our R&D center is now beginning to receive support from the Ministry of Industry and Technology. In parallel with data we receive from the field and market research conducted, we will continue our work with products that have high commercialization and export potential. With the incentive we received, we aim to produce over 9 million units annually of burn gel and burn dressing, 12.5 million sachets of burn gel and over 6 million ultrasound gel."
