Türkiye's Integrative Treatment Experience Shared in Abu Dhabi

Prof. Dr. Nesrin Dilbaz, Psychiatry Specialist at Üsküdar University NPİSTANBUL Hospital, participated as an invited speaker at a panel titled "Addressing Frequent Relapses and Negative Symptoms in Schizophrenia" organized by SAKINA Group, one of the largest state-affiliated mental health organizations in Abu Dhabi.

At the meeting attended by approximately 100 psychiatrists, current approaches to preventing relapses in schizophrenia and managing negative symptoms were discussed. Prof. Dr. Dilbaz shared comprehensive treatment models and clinical experiences applied in Turkey with international colleagues. The panel provided a notable platform for mutual knowledge exchange and experience sharing. Treatment and rehabilitation practices in the addiction field were also addressed. Prof. Dr. Dilbaz expressed hope that these discussions would lay the groundwork for international collaborations in coming periods.

Prof. Dr. Dilbaz Shared Clinical Experiences in Abu Dhabi
SAKINA Group, which provides public mental health services in Abu Dhabi, employs approximately 100 psychiatrists. Prof. Dr. Dilbaz delivered a comprehensive presentation to mental health specialists working within this organization on relapse prevention approaches in schizophrenia, current treatment methods, and clinical experience sharing.

Prof. Dr. Dilbaz noted that the panel also served as a mutual exchange of knowledge and experience, and drew attention to the strengths of Abu Dhabi's mental health system. She stated that numerous psychiatrists in the region work as consultants and that there are large-scale addiction centers that include rehabilitation services. Noting the interest shown in her clinical experience particularly in schizophrenia and addiction, Prof. Dr. Dilbaz also provided information about comprehensive treatment and collaboration models applied in Turkey.

Prof. Dr. Dilbaz emphasized that possible collaborations in the addiction field were also discussed, stating: "Questions were raised about the treatment durations and interdisciplinary collaboration models we conduct here. We hope that these contacts will develop into concrete collaborations in the coming period."
