Turkish Healthcare Sector Makes Major Push at WHX Dubai with 203 Companies

Chemicals, one of Türkiye's leading export sectors, continues to expand its presence in global markets with growing production capacity and high value-added products in the healthcare sector. A total of 203 companies from Türkiye exhibited at the WHX Dubai 2026 Fair, one of the largest healthcare exhibitions in the Middle East and Africa region.
Turkey's chemistry sector, one of the country's export locomotives, continues to increase its effectiveness in global markets through growing production capacity and high-value-added products in the healthcare sector. 203 companies from Turkey participated in the WHX Dubai 2026 Fair, one of the largest trade fairs in the Middle East and Africa region for the healthcare sector.
The WHX Dubai 2026 Fair, organized as a national participation initiative by the Istanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (İKMİB), took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, between 09-12 February 2026. WHX Dubai, which serves as the largest trade fair in the Middle East and Africa region for medical devices, pharmaceuticals, OTC products and the dental sector, is counted among the sector's most prestigious international meetings.
This year's WHX Dubai 2026 fair brought together 4,300 companies from more than 180 countries and hosted more than 235,000 visitors. Within the scope of the national participation organization organized by İKMİB in an area of 576 square meters, 40 companies participated in the fair as part of the organized pavilion, and with 163 Turkish companies participating individually, a strong representation of 203 Turkish companies in total was achieved at WHX Dubai 2026. Among the countries participating in the fair, Turkey ranked as the 4th largest country by number of participants, after China, Germany and the UAE.
During the fair, İKMİB Executive Board Vice Chairman and Medical Devices Committee Chairman Tayfun Demir, İKMİB Pharmaceuticals Committee Chairman Ahmet Altuğ Oğuz, İKMİB Pharmaceuticals Committee Members Orhan Mutlu Topal and Seda Ekşi Aşıcıoğlu, İKMİB Medical Devices Committee Members Sevim Öztaşkın, Adil Boz and Cemil Çakar, and İKMİB Executive Board Advisor N. Alper Esen visited the companies at the fair and extended their congratulations on their success.
Additionally, T.C. Ambassador to Abu Dhabi Lütfullah Göktas, Commercial Attachés Beste Öztürk, Hacı Hasan Kaygısız and Muhammed Emin Erkal also visited İKMİB member companies alongside sector representatives. The delegation examined the companies' innovative products in detail and evaluated export opportunities and new business prospects.

İKMİB Executive Board Chairman Adil Pelister noted that WHX Dubai holds strategic importance for Turkey's healthcare sector and said: "The medical devices and pharmaceuticals sector has critical importance for our exports due to its high-value-added production structure. Our pharmaceutical products sector's 2025 export increased by 14.57 percent to USD 1.77 billion. As İKMİB, we are conducting extensive work to ensure the sustainability of this growth. Prestigious international organizations such as WHX Dubai strengthen our companies' access to global markets while showcasing Turkey's production capacity and innovation capability in the healthcare sector to the world.
