Santa Farma and Mealis Announce New Strategic Partnership

Santa Farma Pharmaceutical, one of Turkey's most established domestic pharmaceutical companies with over 80 years of history, has expanded its strategic business partnership with MEALIS Middle East Life Sciences. Under the new agreement signed, Santa Farma has transferred the sales, marketing and distribution rights for the medicine containing iron sucrose complex to MEALIS.

Santa Farma Pharmaceutical commissioned its production facility in Dilovası GEBKİM OSB in 2015, built with a EUR 150 million investment using the most advanced production and building technologies, covering a total area of 80,000 m² with 44,000 m² of closed space for the Turkish Pharmaceutical Industry. The facility, which has an annual single-shift production capacity of 150 million boxes and holds EU-GMP, TR-GMP and Jordan GMP certificates, not only produces Santa Farma products for Turkey and export countries, but also provides support for localization to global and domestic pharmaceutical companies importing products from abroad.

Adopting the principle of healthy living at all ages, MEALIS began operations in Dubai and Beirut in 2013 and started operations in Turkey in 2014. MEALIS continues its activities in pharmaceuticals, medical devices and dietary supplements across 35 different countries, including Turkey, in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Guided by the principle of contributing to the development of the pharmaceutical industry, sustainability and the future of public health, MEALIS Turkey carries out promotion, marketing, sales and distribution of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products.

Under the strategic partnership agreement signed, the sales, distribution and marketing rights for the medicine containing iron sucrose complex, which is licensed and manufactured by Santa Farma Pharmaceutical, were transferred to MEALIS as of 11 December 2025.
