Santa Farma İlaç Publishes 'Communication on Progress' Report

Santa Farma Pharmaceuticals Releases Progress Communication Report For 78 years, Santa Farma Pharmaceuticals has provided "healthy service to health," and has released its 12th Progress Communication Report sharing its performance under the United Nations Global Compact. Santa Farma released its Global Compact Progress Communication Report sharing its 2021 performance under the United Nations Global Compact. The United Nations Global Compact, signed by Santa Farma on 26 May 2010, is a voluntary initiative based on public accountability and transparency, covering 10 principles grouped across 4 areas: Human Rights, Labour Standards, Environment, and Anti-Corruption. Santa Farma regularly publishes its work aligned with the 10 principles of the compact each year through its Progress Communication Report.

In his message in the report, Santa Farma Pharmaceuticals Board Chairman Erol Kiresepi stated:

"He emphasised that the healthcare sector holds strategic importance for all societies both in normal times and in situations threatening the world such as pandemics and wars. The Covid-19 pandemic marking the last two years of our world accelerated digitalisation, began changing business models and management systems, and most importantly triggered a global economic crisis. Innovative thinking, the only way to gain competitive advantage in global markets, has come to the forefront in all areas. During this period, the healthcare sector quickly developed vaccines to slow the pace of the pandemic. However, it also created a global concern that climate change of cosmic origin could lead to new viruses and pandemics. In this situation, not only organisations committed to the United Nations Global Compact, but every member of society needs to be environmentally conscious in order to reduce the damage that cosmic change would cause."

In Santa Farma's 12th Progress Communication Report, using Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting Principles as guidance, activities in human rights management, protection of employee rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption were addressed separately.
