"In addition to working for public health, we also value goodness at every moment of life"

Selcen Çökdü, Head of Communication and Patient Relations at GSK Turkey, noted that the "Voice to the Child" communication campaign implemented in 2019 as part of the Stop at Red! Project, which was launched in 2018 with the goal of protecting all rights of children, particularly bodily autonomy, and ensuring that children feel safe and secure, won 4 awards at the Stevie Awards this year. Çökdü said that GSK's strong sense of social responsibility lies behind this success. Çökdü noted that GSK employees actively participate in social responsibility projects and that the Stop at Red! Project implemented with TOG was developed based on employee suggestions. Çökdü stated: "As a healthcare company, in addition to working for public health, we also value goodness at every moment of life. This year, these 4 awards that we won with our "Voice to the Child" communication campaign, with which we set out saying "Not silence, but the voice of the child," are a fine expression of our view that creating awareness in society is part of our work." TOG General Director Murat Çitilgülü said: "GSK Turkey, which set out to support our youth health literacy project six years ago, began supporting the Stop at Red! Project, which focuses on children's rights, as of 2018.
In the second phase of our project, which aims for the child to understand that both they and others have boundaries, we reached adults.
With videos for adults published on digital platforms, we aimed to raise awareness among adults about children's rights. The song titled "#Voice to the Child" that we created to increase awareness was also published on TOG's social media channels and digital channels. It is gratifying that this highly meaningful project has been crowned with a prestigious award. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to it." The Stop at Red! Project, launched by TOG and GSK Turkey, aims to increase awareness among children about all children's rights, particularly bodily autonomy. The project, which has reached approximately 10,000 children so far, includes practices on children's ability to protect themselves in case their personal spaces are violated, protection of children's rights, helping children feel safe and secure, and taking action. In the second phase of the project, drawing attention to the importance of adults listening to children for the protection of children's rights and for children to feel safe and secure, the message "Not silence, but #Voice to the Child" was delivered. Implemented in Istanbul, İzmir and Bursa in the 2018-2019 academic year, the project was carried out in 12 provinces including Aksaray, Ankara, Aydın, Erzurum, Hatay, Istanbul, İzmir, Karaman, Konya, Niğde, Samsun and Siirt in the 2019-2020 academic year. Since 2002, the Stevie Awards have been recognizing international companies and organizations based on their performance and achievements throughout the year and are among the world's most respected business awards. The Stevie International Business Awards, organized in 8 different categories, receive over 10,000 applications from more than 70 countries each year. Selcen Çökdü
