Berko İlaç Receives R&D Center Certificate
At the 7th Technology Development Zones and R&D Centers Awards Ceremony, held with the participation of Turkey's Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, Serap Odabaşı, R&D Coordinator at Berko İlaç, received the R&D Center certificate.
Berko R&D Center, established on the third floor of Phase III building of Berko İlaç Production Facilities, received R&D Center approval from the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology on 30 July 2018 following a successful audit process.
With this approval, Berko R&D Center took its place among accredited R&D Centers, and Berko İlaç became the 31st pharmaceutical company with an accredited R&D Center certificate among 364 domestic firms serving Turkey's pharmaceutical sector.
Serap Odabaşı, R&D Coordinator at Berko İlaç, said: "Berko İlaç continues rapidly and uninterruptedly with planned research and development activities to respond to public needs, present different technical approaches, possess scientific logic, and achieve collaborative and modern R&D objectives.
Within Berko İlaç, 17 self-funded projects and 3 TUBITAK-supported projects are being carried out. Our R&D Center, comprising a total of 21 people, is organized in 4 departments: analytical, formulation, technical documentation, and intellectual property rights units.
We aim to take our place in national development by continuing our activities with competent researchers, pharmacists, chemists, engineers, and technicians, and through academic collaborations."
