AstraZeneca Türkiye Wins Stevie Award
AstraZeneca Türkiye's "My Name is Human" project, which was launched to highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion and is being carried out in collaboration with Istanbul Bilgi University Gender Studies Group (BİLGİ Gender), received a Silver Award at the Stevie International Business Awards, where more than 3,700 projects were evaluated.
Standing out with projects that aim to contribute to society, AstraZeneca Türkiye achieved significant success at the Stevie International Business Awards with its "My Name is Human" project, which was launched to emphasize the importance of gender equality and is being carried out in collaboration with Istanbul Bilgi University Gender Studies Group (BİLGİ Gender).
At this year's 19th edition of the awards ceremony, AstraZeneca Türkiye received the Silver Award in the "Communication and Public Relations Campaign of the Year – Diversity, Equality and Inclusion" category with its My Name is Human project.
With the "My Name is Human" project, which it launched under the motto "whether we share the same names or not, we are all human, we are all equal," AstraZeneca Türkiye draws attention to the importance of diversity and inclusion while also aiming to raise awareness toward dismantling stereotypes that separate individuals and strengthening rights and freedoms.
As part of the project, in collaboration with BİLGİ Gender, videos and podcasts featuring distinguished guests were published on various social media channels under the guidance of Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Communication Faculty Member and Social Entrepreneur Prof. Dr. Itır Erhart and Istanbul Bilgi University Department of Sports Management Dr. Lecturer İlknur Hacısoftaoğlu, drawing attention to the fact that people can coexist with their differences.
The videos published on the My Name is Human YouTube channel and the podcasts published on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Deezer platforms address gender equality from various angles. These publications emphasize that all people can coexist with their differences and that every person should have equal access to rights.
AstraZeneca Türkiye Country Head Pharmacist Serkan Barış made the following statements regarding the award they received:
"As AstraZeneca Türkiye, we believe that gender equality is one of the main components of innovative thinking and productivity. For this reason, we place great importance on creating an environment based on gender equality where we can develop innovative approaches and ideas. As a result of the initiatives we have implemented in this regard, we were previously included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index for four consecutive years, and we were ranked first among pharmaceutical companies on Forbes' "Best Employers for Women" 2022 list. This time, receiving an award at such an important organization as the Stevie International Business Awards, which again confirms the success of our work in this direction on the international stage, brings us great joy and pride. This award has become an important source of motivation for us to further strengthen our "My Name is Human" project for a strong society and strong individuals freed from discriminatory roles. We will continue our work intensively on this project, which we believe will increase awareness on gender equality."Advertisement
