Abdi İbrahim Continues to Support Entrepreneurship in the Healthcare Sector

The winner of the Seed Support Award, given as part of Abdi İbrahim's 'Doz' project supporting social innovation in healthcare, has been announced. At the final of the third term of the Social Innovation in Healthcare Program Doz, RareSum received the Seed Support First Prize, Recahter received the Seed Support Second Prize, and Regl Çemberi received the Jury's Special Award.

The winner of the 'Seed Support Award' given by Abdi Ibrahim within its project supporting social innovation in health, 'Doz', has been announced. In the third period final of the Health Social Innovation Program Doz, RareSum won the Seed Support First Prize Award, Recahter won the Seed Support Second Prize Award, and Regl Çemberi received the Jury Special Award.

Abdi Ibrahim continues to add value to the sector through Doz, which promotes social innovation in health with its innovative vision and society-benefit-oriented approach. The Doz Incubation final of the Health Social Innovation Program, which Abdi Ibrahim realized in collaboration with Impact Hub Istanbul, took place.
 
In the Doz Incubation final program moderated by Melih Boyacı, AbdiBio Group Chairman Dr. Ali Özüer, Abdi Ibrahim Corporate Communications Manager Buket Koral Gönüllü, Acıbadem Technology Transfer Office Manager Eda Tanoğlu, Science Virus and Science of Impact GmbH Berlin Founder Şule Yücebıyık, Geometry Venture Angel Investor Network Founder Melih Efeoğlu and Turkey Technology Development Foundation General Secretary Consultant Evren Büküilmez served as Jury Members.
 
Winning Startup: RareSum
In this period of the program with focus areas of "Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals", "Preventive Medicine and Wellbeing", "Sustainability" and "Alternative Packaging", six startups selected by the jury went through a four-month incubation period to prepare for the final day. Valuable entrepreneurs competed at the final. AeroCura, which offers businesses the opportunity to directly reduce their emissions with zero investment and operational costs; an autonomous, flexible and integrated carbon capture and reporting system, Nanowiss, a deep-tech startup developing a sustainable nanoparticle production device to promote environment-friendly solutions with nanoparticles in sectors such as agriculture, RareSum, a health technology startup that offers decision support for doctors in complex cases and screening and analysis solutions for clinical research with its AI-based technology developed to accelerate the diagnosis of rare diseases, Regl Çemberi, which strengthens access to correct information in sexual and reproductive health by providing protective-preventive health services for young girls experiencing menstruation and is positioned as a digital sister, Recahter, a personal disinfection device that allows individuals using urethral catheters to automatically disinfect and reuse their catheters, and RSV Detect, which works on the development of a fast, domestic and non-invasive RSV diagnostic kit with nanohybrid technology, shared the stories and visions of the solutions they brought to life with great passion with the jury members.
 
Among the projects carefully evaluated by the jury members, RareSum startup won the Seed Support First Prize Award. Recahter received the Seed Support Second Prize Award, and Regl Çemberi was deemed worthy of the Jury Special Award. The startup, which stood out with its innovative approach, applicability and potential for societal benefit, earned the right to be supported with the goal of creating positive impact in the health field.

 Speaking at the final event, Abdi Ibrahim Human Resources, Corporate Communications and Sustainability Group Chairman Dr. M. Oğuzcan Bülbül drew attention to the special position of the Doz Program within the company's sustainability vision and said: "In our 113-year journey of improvement, we not only manufacture pharmaceuticals; we see supporting solutions that create societal benefit, are sustainable and innovative as our fundamental responsibility. The Doz program is one of the most concrete examples of this approach. Taking our passion for improvement further with the support we provide to the health entrepreneurship ecosystem is a great honor for us. This year as well, we felt great excitement and joy to meet startups developing impressive solutions. We sincerely believe that all our finalists, especially the award-winning startups RareSum, Recahter and Regl Çemberi, will create lasting and positive impacts in the health field."
