Addressing Nutrition Challenges in Space: Quail Eggs Work has begun in Aydın on a USD 1 million prize competition launched by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to solve nutrition problems for space travelers. Bilimin Efeleri aims to address the nutrition challenges of space travelers by transferring nutrients found in quail eggs to an invention called HBX2371-immünextraT13. Hakan Başlık, Project Coordinator at Karya Farma HBX Research and Development (BAP) Scientific Research Projects, who has been conducting research on endemic plants grown in Aydın for approximately 15 years, announced that work on NASA's competition began in January. Noting that in their work conducted at Adnan Menderes University (ADÜ) Technopolis, they have achieved significant progress toward solving nutrition problems for space travelers by transferring nutrients from quail eggs to HBX2371-immünextraT13 components as HBX AR-GE, Başlık stated that they would participate in NASA's competition with this work. Projects Coordinator Hakan Başlık, noting that for NASA's Deep Space Food Challenge competition launched to solve nutrition problems for space travelers with a USD 1 million prize, they are continuing their work as Karya Farma HBX AR-GE by combining 11 separately patented inventions, commented: "We are experiencing the excitement of undertaking work that is highly rich in antioxidants and polyphenols."

11 Different Patented Formulations Combined in a Single Formula

Başlık stated that they expanded their work, which they began years ago to strengthen the human immune system, to also include food scarcity anticipated to occur in the world and easy access to healthy food. "When NASA announced this competition, we slightly expanded the scope of our existing work. We succeeded in transferring nutrients from quail eggs, which are very rich in vitamins, minerals and proteins, to our product through a special method. The protein and vitamin content of quail eggs is significantly higher compared to other eggs. Additionally, it contains five times more iron and potassium than chicken eggs. Beyond having high nutritional and protein values, it has properties that support heart health. Taking into account its beneficial properties for respiratory problems, we are entering this competition with a product we named 'HBX-2371 immünextraT13.' Our goal is not only to compete but also to bring the values of Turkey and Aydın to the world's attention," he said.
