The Importance of Effective Technology Use in Agriculture Bayer emphasized the importance of digitalization, sustainability and productivity in agriculture at its "Shaping the Future of Agriculture" panel held at its headquarters. The panel, hosted by Crop Science Turkey Country Director Onur Çamili and Northwest Region Sales Director Abdullah Yalçın, was attended by Crop Science Mediterranean Country Group Leader Protasio Rodriguez, 3rd Generation Farmer of Doğru Çiflik and Adana Farmers Association President Mutlu Doğru as well as Founder of Feyz Farm and TÜSEDAD Association President Sencer Solakoğlu. Sencer Solakoğlu, Founder of Feyz Farm and TÜSEDAD Association President, who said farmers need to be shown how to increase productivity by using technology, stated: "In order to see where we stand, we first need to collect data and then analyze it. This way, we can answer the question of why we get less yield. In this direction, having technology in our lives and implementing applications such as converting data to Blockchain can help us show how good the work we do is for people. By educating farmers and enabling them to use technology, we can also correct misconceptions that are believed to be correct." Mutlu Doğru, 3rd Generation Farmer of Doğru Çiflik and Adana Farmers Association President, who noted that the future of agricultural engineers is in their hands and that they can prevent the world from facing hunger when the effects of droughts and climate change become apparent by 2050, said: "We can only bring productivity in nature up to a certain point. At the point where we cannot overcome nature's conditions and reach a bottleneck, along with products from companies like Bayer, digital tools also need to come into play. On the other hand, while Turkey's wheat yield is currently averaging 296 kilograms, it reaches 800-900 kilograms in Germany and France. If we train farmers on how to use technology, we can also reach those figures." Crop Science Turkey Country Director Onur Çamili, who emphasized that feeding 10 billion people will be possible with effective use of technology and that better use of data will yield good results in increasing productivity everywhere in Turkey, stated: "We are focused on helping farmers access information and technology.
