Palsgaard Invests in Türkiye

Food company Palsgaard invested in Turkey and officially opened an application center in Maltepe, Istanbul on 26 October 2022. The Danish company Palsgaard, among the leading firms in the food ingredients sector, opened its sixth application center in Turkey. With the application center opened on 26 October in Istanbul-Maltepe, the company will continue to serve the industrial food sector more closely with its technical expertise and infrastructure.

Operating Three Application Centers in Istanbul

Palsgaard, which has supplied solutions to the food industry for 105 years and discovered the world's first industrial commercial emulsifier, established three application centers in Istanbul during the pandemic period. The company provides employment for 14 people at its headquarters and application centers in Turkey. Palsgaard officials who attended the official opening ceremony of the application center in Maltepe made statements. Palsgaard officials, noting that they made the investment decision with confidence in the rapid and healthy development of Turkish food industry, its emphasis on innovation and its swift growth in global markets, stated: "We have taken an important step with our Turkey application center, and with its success, further investments in the future are also likely."

Operating Carbon-Neutral Production

Palsgaard places sustainability goals in an important position and operates under the motto "Putting good things together". The company conducts completely carbon-neutral production at its production facilities located in Denmark, the Netherlands, Mexico, Brazil, China and Malaysia. Palsgaard, through experienced technology experts at its application centers, contributes to the achievement of sustainability goals of companies it considers as business partners by reducing resource use in the industry with products that are manufactured without leaving a carbon footprint and that make a difference. The company initially targeted carbon-neutral production at all facilities by 2020 starting in 2011. Having reached this target in 2018, Palsgaard's new goal is to achieve carbon-neutral status as a total global company.

Food Emulsifiers and Emulsifier/Stabilizer Systems Contribute to Product Quality and Shelf Life

Palsgaard has the distinction of being the world's only carbon-neutral producer in emulsifier and stabilizer systems based on RSPO SG-certified palm oil as well as sunflower and other vegetable oils. Palsgaard's food emulsifiers and emulsifier/stabilizer systems contribute to the quality and shelf life of baking, chocolate, dairy products, ice cream and margarine products.
