Balparmak, Turkey's leading honey brand, has been recognized with the 2026 Seedling Award by the Turkish Internal Audit Institute (TİDE) for transformation initiatives it implemented in the internal audit field in a short timeframe.
The Seedling Award, presented under the "Internal Audit Awareness Awards" organized annually by TİDE, is granted to companies that have newly restructured the internal audit function in their organizations, raised awareness in this area, and developed exemplary practices.
On behalf of Balparmak, the award was presented to Onur Kazanasmaz, Head of Internal Audit, and Dorukan Tarman, Internal Audit Manager. Balparmak, which established its Internal Audit Department in April 2025, was recognized for the sustainable governance structure it built in a short period, its transparency-focused approach, and its contribution to operational improvement.

Sustainable transformation in internal audit
Operating under the Board of Directors, Balparmak's Internal Audit Department aims to strengthen the company's principles of transparency, accountability, and corporate governance. The department also contributes to the widespread adoption of a continuous improvement culture by regularly sharing areas for development in Board meetings.
Commenting on the matter, Balparmak Head of Internal Audit Onur Kazanasmaz said:
"When establishing our internal audit unit, our objective was to support Balparmak's growing organizational structure with a stronger governance model. Through the systems and practices we implemented, we took important steps toward early risk identification, increasing operational efficiency, and supporting our sustainable growth objectives. This award from the Turkish Internal Audit Institute is extremely valuable to us as it demonstrates that we have built the right structure."
Balparmak Internal Audit Manager Dorukan Tarman noted that they have positioned the internal audit approach not merely as a control mechanism, but as a structure that creates strategic value for the institution.
With this award, Balparmak has joined institutions that contribute to raising internal audit awareness not only within their own organization but also across the sector.
