Univar Expands Product Portfolio with NOB166® Univar Solutions Inc., a leading global solution provider for specialty chemicals and ingredients users, has added NOB166® boosters for detergent products from Ancor to its homecare and industrial cleaning product portfolio. The company announced another significant step in its journey towards a more sustainable future. NOB166® anti-microbial laundry detergent additives are used in healthcare and industrial laundry and dry-cleaning services to prevent the accumulation and proliferation of microorganisms that cause product odors and accelerate deterioration. Combined with detergents and softeners in the production process, NOB166 boosters can be used on many natural and synthetic fabrics and are also effective in cold water washing, thus achieving energy, time and cost savings and reducing strain on electrical grids. Additionally, NOB166 produces a biocidal effect and provides anti-microbial protection lasting up to seven days, preventing microorganism proliferation in textile products and helping reduce the need for daily fabric laundering. This results in lower hot water consumption, reduced water usage, and less wear and tear on fabrics.
