Sustainability in Liquid Detergents ARM & HAMMER™ Laundry launches concentrated formula liquid detergents to accelerate sustainability efforts. ARM & HAMMER™ Laundry, committed to implementing sustainable practices in laundry detergent production wherever possible, announced its efforts expected to reduce plastic use by approximately 7 million pounds (approximately 3 million kg) and water use by approximately 118,000 tons by 2024 through ARM & HAMMER™ Liquid Laundry Detergent, Concentrated Formula* (Liquid Laundry Detergent, Concentrated Formula*). Launched in 2022, ARM & HAMMER™ Laundry's concentrated liquid detergents are formulated with less water and smaller packaging to reduce plastic and water per load. ARM & HAMMER™ Concentrated Liquid Laundry Detergent features 2x stronger stain removers per drop compared to leading affordable detergents, requiring a smaller dose per load than previous formulas while continuing to deliver the same cleaning power consumers expect with each wash load today. Additionally, smaller packaging with reduced overall shipping weight supports lower emissions, and formulas designed to work in cold water help reduce the carbon footprint of the ARM & HAMMER™ portfolio. The company began using recycled cardboard for washing soda and baking soda boxes in 1907, long before recycling became a consumer habit or a norm in paper production, and this commitment continues today through its long-standing relationship with How2Recycle. The partnership aims to educate consumers on how to recycle ARM & HAMMER™ Laundry packaging. ARM & HAMMER™ Laundry's efforts to reduce overall plastic and water use build on long-standing sustainability initiatives over the past several decades. Church & Dwight (manufacturer of ARM & HAMMER™ laundry detergents) uses 100% certified renewable electricity at its facilities to produce laundry detergent formulas. As a Green-e® Certified Producer, it manufactures ARM & HAMMER™ laundry detergents using verified renewable electricity at its factories. The Environmental Protection Agency recognized the company's efforts by including it in the Green Power Partnership Top 100.
