Sapro launches 'Ultra Pure Water Treatment System'

Sapro has implemented an 'Ultra Pure Water Treatment System' with a EUR 2 million investment to improve the quality of water used in wet wipe production. Designed in compliance with European Pharmacopoeia standards, the new system removes bacteria, viruses, microorganisms and other harmful chemicals from water at a rate of 99.99%. Wet wipe producer Sapro has implemented an 'Ultra Pure Water Treatment System' with a EUR 2 million investment to improve the quality of water used in production, offering consumers safer and cleaner wet wipes while filtering process water needed for production to enhance product quality. The system raises product safety to the highest level while enabling a monthly water saving of 500 tonnes.  

More reliable wet wipes for human health

Water is one of the most critical components for wet wipes. The quality of water used in wet wipes is highly important in terms of product hygiene and safety. Bacteria, viruses, microorganisms and other impurities in water can cause microbial proliferation over time, threatening product safety and potentially causing skin irritation, infection and even disease. Continuing its investments based on principles of sustainability and environmental responsibility, Sapro removes 99.99% of bacteria, viruses and microorganisms from the process water used in wet wipe production through its new ultra pure water treatment system. The newly developed water treatment system ensures that produced wet wipes are safer for human health. The new hygienic water treatment system features a multi-stage filtration process. This process improves the physical, chemical and microbiological properties of water. The system also enables line cleaning without the use of chemicals. Monthly water saving of 500 tonnes
