Petkim Receives First-Ever Risk Management System Verification Certificate in Petrochemicals

Petkim successfully completed the TS ISO 31000 Risk Management Verification audit conducted by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE), qualifying for a TSE certificate in this field.

Petkim, which differentiates itself through an integrated management system in numerous areas within the petrochemical sector where it operates, has certified with the TS ISO 31000 Risk Management System Verification Certificate that it has a systematic structure in risk identification, assessment, analysis and risk-related action planning.

Petkim, Turkey's sole petrochemical raw material producer growing through strategically important investments, has signed another milestone in its sector by qualifying for the "TS ISO 31000 Risk Management System Verification Certificate" issued by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE).

As the seventh institution in Turkey to obtain this certificate, Petkim ranks among the top four among manufacturing companies.

Petkim successfully completed the TS ISO 31000 Risk Management Verification audit conducted in December by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with a total of five auditors from the İzmir and Ankara regions, becoming the first organization in its sector to hold a Risk Management System Verification Certificate.

Like many other areas in its sector, Petkim has certified through its TS ISO 31000 Risk Management System that it has a systematic structure in risk identification, assessment, analysis and risk-related action planning, distinguishing itself with an integrated management system.

Petkim General Manager Anar Mammadov stated that they are among the first manufacturing companies in Turkey to hold a Risk Management System Verification Certificate, saying: "We operate in a sector that carries high operational and financial risks. We place great importance on reducing risks and structuring risk management effectively at every level of our company.

Beyond the importance of qualifying for this certificate, we are implementing initiatives that have made risk management a culture within our organization. We aim to reach better positions in risk reduction.

TSE Secretary General Mehmet Bozdemir, noting that Petkim is the first organization in the petrochemical sector to receive this certificate, as it has been in many other areas, stated: "We are pleased to present this certificate to Petkim, one of Turkey's most established organizations.

Petkim, which has signed many firsts in various areas, has become a pioneering company in being the first organization in petrochemicals to receive this certificate. We are pleased that we have brought the certification work we began in 1996 to the highest level today.

Petkim became one of the institutions that qualified for and established this entire system. I would like to note that obtaining this certificate in a structure spread across such a large location is very difficult from a management process perspective.

Quality Systems hold great importance today; quality needs to be disseminated, even in small measure, across every level of companies.
