Keliren CPE (Chlorinated Polyethylene) thermoplastic resins are used as impact strength modifiers in the most common PVC extrusion and injection molding applications. They are particularly used in window profiles, pipes and facade coatings.
Low-dosage Keliren resins, when combined with rigid PVC resins, significantly increase impact resistance and also act as a processing aid.
Additionally, the resins possess properties such as chemical resistance, good processing characteristics at low temperatures, increased filler loading capacity and excellent compatibility with a wide range of formulation inputs. Keliren resins demonstrate excellent weathering resistance.
- CPE is the most common and economical impact strength modifier for the PVC profile industry.
- Pipes modified with Keliren show improved impact and weathering resistance. Keliren resin particularly increases pressure resistance and service life in pressurized liquid transfer pipes.
- In soft PVC products commonly manufactured with plasticizers such as DOP, Keliren resin reduces plasticizer migration effects and helps achieve properties similar to high-molecular-weight plasticizers.
- Keliren resins are also compatible with FR-ABS, SAN, HDPE and PP, providing both impact resistance and flame resistance.
- Keliren resins find wide application in footwear due to their good abrasion resistance and long-term flexibility.
