Nobel İlaç Supports Sustainability

Nobel Pharma, which prioritises awareness projects that create a positive impact on the environment and society, carried out simultaneous environmental cleanup events in Istanbul, Düzce and Tekirdağ in collaboration with Let's Do It Türkiye, stating that "big changes start with small steps". Nobel Pharma, which defines sustainability as an integral part of its corporate culture, continues to implement projects together with its employees under the "Creating Value for Life" approach. Contributing to the development of environmentally conscious behaviour patterns in society through the projects it has launched, Nobel Pharma, in cooperation with Let's Do It Türkiye, which conducts environmental cleanup campaigns worldwide, implemented a volunteer-based waste collection initiative in Istanbul, Düzce and Tekirdağ. The event, which took place on 8 June 2024 with the participation of approximately 130 Nobel employees who wished to fulfil their responsibilities towards nature and contribute to increased environmental awareness in society, began in the morning and continued throughout the day. Volunteer teams worked meticulously in designated areas, collecting surrounding waste and sorting it by type. Nobel Pharma reported the amount of waste collected in detail following the event. A total of 470 kilogrammes of waste was collected at the event and sent for recycling. Through the intensive efforts of participants working shoulder-to-shoulder for a cleaner world, the waste collected resulted in an emissions reduction equivalent to the amount of CO2 that 70 trees would offset over one year, approximately 700.71 kilogrammes (0.701 tonnes). Speaking about the event, through which Nobel Pharma once again demonstrated its commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, Nobel Pharma Chief Executive Officer Oğuz Akandil said: "This event, in which our employees, who have internalised our long-term sustainability goals, participated with great enthusiasm, is an important step taken in the protection of nature and the dissemination of environmental awareness. This cooperation we realised with Let's Do It Türkiye has further strengthened our commitments on environmental issues." This event implemented by Nobel, which focuses on creating value in all areas in light of a sustainable environment and sustainable society, has been a fine example of how civil society and the private sector can come together on environmental issues and create major change.
