Yılport Holding, an affiliate of Yıldırım Group of Companies, has acquired 100% of the shares of Solventaş Teknik Depolama A.Ş., which operates in Kocaeli.

Yılport Holding, a subsidiary of Yıldırım Şirketler Grubu, has acquired 100% of the shares of Solventaş Teknik Depolama A.Ş., which operates in Kocaeli. Following the signatures affixed in Istanbul on 14 June, Solventaş Port, liquid cargo terminal and chemical storage facility became part of Yılport.
Following the consolidation of Solventaş Port with Yılport Gebze Port, Yılport Holding will establish Turkey's largest and most advanced chemical liquid cargo terminal in the Gulf of İzmit. Yılport Holding, which aims to rank among the world's top 10 international port operators by 2025, is continuing its growth trajectory. With the signatures affixed in Istanbul on 14 June, Solventaş Teknik Depolama A.Ş. joined the Yılport Holding portfolio and became the holding's 23rd terminal. Following approval from the Competition Authority, the transfer process of Solventaş, which operates in Dilovası District in Kocaeli, to Yılport will be completed. The new entity, which will contribute to the development of the chemical industry, an important focus area in Turkey's 2023 vision, stands out as Yılport Holding's first specialized port dedicated to chemical liquid cargo operations. Established in 1967, the Solventaş facility has 217 chemical tanks with a total storage capacity of 333,000 cubic metres. The liquid terminal, with two piers measuring 273 and 235 metres serving tankers and vessels, handles the storage and handling of over 70 types of chemical substances, petrochemical products, mineral, mineral and vegetable oils. Solventaş will be integrated into Yılport Gebze Port to create Turkey's most modern chemical liquid cargo terminal. After becoming the technologically most advanced storage and handling facility in Turkey's chemical industry, it will be named "Yılport Dilovası Liquid Terminal". Yılport Gebze currently has 85 chemical tanks and 120,000 cubic metres of storage capacity. Following consolidation and new investment, "Yılport Dilovası Liquid Terminal" will serve the sector with over 300 tanks and storage capacity exceeding 450,000 cubic metres.
