Stahl Polimerler RELCA PD-805: New Generation Water-Based Matte Resin

Relca PD-805 is a next-generation matting resin manufactured with high technology by Stahl, water-based. As a 100% environmentally friendly resin, it contains no formaldehyde, amines, solvents or heavy metals. As a matting agent, it meets the requirements of numerous restrictive environmental regulations and is establishing its position in the paints and coatings market.

Key Features:

• Surfactant-free polymer. • Formaldehyde-free. • 0% VOC content; "100% environmentally friendly product". • Non-porous structure (no porosity). • Final product stability is superior compared to other matting agents (Density 1.1 g/cm³). • High thermal resistance: 100°C (Thermoset resin). • Free hydroxyl groups: Shows development when used in 2K systems, increases adhesion strength on glass and mineral surfaces. • Suitable for UV curing systems. • Extended application time (pot life), better flow for 2K systems. • Does not absorb moisture and oil.

• Minimal loss in tensile performance. • Provides high chemical resistance. • Provides high micro-scratch resistance. • Minimal dirt retention. • Improves anti-fingerprint properties. • Cleanable and disinfectable. • Improves blocking resistance. • When used with soft binders, reduces surface tackiness, provides high matte effect and at the same time transparency. • Compatible with other binders (acrylic, polyurethane, hybrids).

Other Matting Agents and RELCA PD-805:

Matting agents are designed in water-based or other topcoat systems to enhance aesthetics, surface smoothness, gloss, opacity softness and similar application properties, to extend application time and provide heat stabilization.
