Sherwin-Williams Increases Capacity The Sherwin-Williams Company announced today that it has signed an agreement with North Carolina State, Iredell County and the City of Statesville to significantly expand its architectural paints and coatings manufacturing capacity and establish a larger distribution facility. Sherwin-Williams plans to invest at least USD 300 million in the project and add more than 180 full-time jobs to the site over the next three years, which will essentially double its current workforce. The project will include a 36,000 square foot (approximately 3,300 square metres) expansion of the existing 200,000 square foot (approximately 18,500 square metres) manufacturing facility, along with the addition of four new rail lines and the construction of a new 800,000 square foot (approximately 75,000 square metres) distribution and fleet logistics center. An additional 200,000 square foot (approximately 18,500 square metres) area is also available for future expansion. Together, the facility upgrades will add millions of gallons of annual production capacity and significant pallet storage capacity to support the Company in meeting growing demand for its architectural paints and coatings products.
