The future of paint exports discussed

As part of the paintistanbul&Turkcoat Fair conference programme, leading names in the paints and coatings sector gathered on the panel "The Future of Paint Exports from Turkey as the Region's Production Hub." On the second day of the paintistanbul&Turkcoat fair, organised in collaboration with Artkim Fuarcılık and BOSAD, a panel titled "The Future of Paint Exports from Turkey as the Region's Production Hub" took place, moderated by Kempro General Manager Ömer Saim Oğuz. Speakers included T.C Trade Ministry Export General Director Mehmet Ali Kılıçkaya, İKMİB Board Chairman Adil Pelister, Kayalar Kimya Board Member Tolga Kayalar, Serkim Reçine Kimya Board Chairman Serdar Çolak, DYO Technical Plant Director Hasan Şerefhan and Turkish Eximbank Marketing Director Mehmet Efkan Bingöl. Developments in paint exports The panel addressed regulations affecting the paint sector's exports. İKMİB Board Chairman Adil Pelister provided detailed information on new regulations and ordinances impacting the Turkish paint sector. Pelister also announced that efforts to establish a National Chemistry Agency have been accelerated. During the panel, T.C Trade Ministry Export General Director Mehmet Ali Kılıçkaya highlighted Turkey's importance as a significant production and export hub in the chemicals sector, noting that activities aligned with 2028 targets will positively influence paint sector exports. Regulations and Competitive Advantage DYO Technical Plant Director Hasan Şerefhan stated that the Turkish paint sector is highly open to innovation, drawing attention to the industry's ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions. Şerefhan also noted that regulations should be viewed not as a factor restricting companies' export competitiveness, but as an opportunity to increase global competitive strength. The panel, in which paint and coatings sector exports were evaluated by specialists, also drew keen interest from fair visitors.
