OYAK Çimento, which operates as an industry pioneer in contributing to a sustainable world, continues to accelerate its efforts based on its 2050 roadmap prepared in focus of climate change-related risks at a time when energy transitions are being designed toward a carbon-neutral world. In this context, it has been noted that OYAK Çimento, the first cement company in Turkey to make a 'Net-Zero' commitment that brings together the criteria needed for global corporations to set science-based targets to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees, has once again demonstrated its differentiation in the sector through its value-driven business model in light of its research and development and innovation activities. According to the information provided, the company's commitment, which began its activities related to SBTi in 2020, will be featured as part of Race to Zero, a United Nations-backed campaign, as well as by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), the UN Global Compact and We Mean Business.
