CRS-500 Assembly Adhesive Offers Advantages

CRS-500 Assembly Adhesive, a water-based adhesive designed for the DIY sector, is also extremely suitable for professional use. CRS-500 provides ease in the bonding of tiles, ceramics, expanded polystyrene wall cladding and cardboard-like floor coverings. CRS-500, which has no application time restriction, possesses numerous important advantages. It is ready to use, requires no mixing and has instant grip properties. For tile-on-tile applications, no primer coat or different application method is required. With CRS-500, tiles can be easily bonded onto existing tiles and positioned as desired. Moreover, non-professional users can also apply glass mosaic in inter-bench or decorative applications. Home decoration materials, such as marble or wood-effect expanded polystyrene embossed claddings as wall decoration, can be easily bonded with CRS-500. Additionally, in cultural stone applications, bricks, stones and similar decorative elements can be bonded with CRS-500 without requiring professional personnel and equipment.

Product Description

CRS-500 is a water-based assembly adhesive based on a blend of modified polymers.

Applications

It is used in the bonding of various materials such as expanded polystyrene and other thermal insulation boards, wood panels, door and window trim, skirting boards, panelling, acoustic panels, ceramics, tiles, cardboard flooring, PVC/wood cornices, etc., and in assembly and repair works. It adheres to many materials including concrete, wood, metal, EPS, XPS, polyurethane foam, glass, stone, leather, sponge, etc.

Application

For application to be possible, the ambient temperature must be above 5°C and the surface to which application will be made must be clean and free from dust. It is applied to the material to be bonded or the base substrate by dot or stripe application. It must then be pressed firmly and, if necessary, supported. Heavy and stressed components should be secured for 24 hours as a precautionary measure. Within 24 hours after application, the bonded components must not come into contact with water. It is sufficient for one surface of the materials to be bonded to have an absorbent structure. CRS-500 has very high initial grip / instant grip. As it is water-based, full curing occurs after the water content evaporates. Depending on ambient temperature, this period is between 12-24 hours.
