İzocam Completes First Insulation Project Compliant with New Car Park Regulation in Konya

İzocam is providing products and solutions for insulation projects under the New Parking Lot Regulation prepared by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and entering into force on 1 June. In this context, İzocam Mineral Ceiling Board product was supplied for the ceiling insulation of the 60,000 square meter YDA Konya Karatay Integrated Health Campus parking lot. The New Parking Lot Regulation, prepared by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and published in the Official Gazette on 22 February 2018, entered into force on 1 June 2018. With the new regulation, insulation of basement ceiling slabs became mandatory. The regulation requires sound, thermal and water insulation on the ceiling slabs of parking lots and walls adjacent to other independent units in accordance with applicable legislation. İzocam, which provides products and solutions suitable for every insulation requirement, supplied the necessary insulation products for the ceiling insulation of the YDA Konya Karatay Integrated Health Campus parking lot, one of the first projects implemented under the New Parking Lot Regulation. For the 60,000 square meter ceiling insulation supplied and applied by İzocam dealer Haydar Boz Yalıtım, 5 cm fire-resistant İzocam Mineral Ceiling Board product was used. The project was evaluated by İzocam under TS825 and Fire Regulation standards. Heat loss calculations were performed and fire safety was considered alongside the reduction of heat loss in ceiling insulation. İzocam products were preferred throughout the construction of YDA Konya Karatay Integrated Health Campus from foundation to roof. İzocam products were supplied for foundation insulation, curtain wall insulation and terrace thermal insulation. For the project, İzocam Foamboard product was chosen for 65,000 m² of foundation and curtain wall insulation and 110,000 m² of terrace thermal insulation.
