FİXA Introduces MS Hybrid Polymer-Based Sealants and Waterproofing Products

FİXA Yapı Kimyasalları introduced MS Hybrid Polymer-Based Sealants and Waterproofing Materials, which it began producing at the end of 2013, to the construction and marine sectors in the region at a meeting held on 20 April 2016 at İSİS Otel, organized jointly with Karyalı Pazarlama, which serves as the Bodrum distributor. Engin Ali Kaplan, Chairman of the Board at Karyalı Pazarlama, delivered the opening remarks. Kaplan noted that they had signed a new regional distribution agreement with Fixa Yapı Kimyasalları. He spoke about Karyalı Pazarlama's efforts to bring new products and new technologies to the sector and market in every step taken so far. It was explained that MS Polymer technology developed by Japanese firm KANEKA and the MS name can only be used by manufacturers licensed by Kaneka. The new-generation, high-technology materials used in waterproofing and sealant sectors, corresponding to FİXA's product range, were presented as FİXA is Turkey's first licensed manufacturer. In his remarks, FİXA Yapı Kimyasalları General Manager Ali Murat Ekin stated that they are a 100% domestically-funded company and export to numerous countries, noting that "FİXA supplies high-quality products to domestic and international construction, marine and industrial sectors across 11 different product groups."

FİXA General Manager Ali Murat Ekin continued his remarks: "The reason we are highlighting our MS Polymer-based products in this meeting is that they will directly meet the seasonal and architectural needs of Bodrum and its surroundings, allowing waterproofing work on roofs and balconies even during windy and rainy winter weather conditions.

The product's most important advantages become apparent under these conditions. MS Polymer-based materials are moisture-loving, can be applied even under rain, and can even be adhered inside water pools," he said. Wendy Smits from Japanese firm KANEKA, which developed and created MS Polymer technology, delivered a presentation. Smits, serving as Technical Product Manager at KANEKA, provided participants with detailed information on the development of MS Polymer technology and the advantages of MS Polymers. Smits also expressed satisfaction at working with a company like FİXA in the Turkish market, which works meticulously on research and development and quality, and prioritizes investments. In the second part of the meeting, FİXA Project and Technical Sales Manager Architect Semagül Köprülü spoke to participants about FİXA's MS Polymer-based product range and product characteristics. In her remarks, Köprülü discussed MS Polymer-based products' strong adhesion to all surfaces, high mechanical strength and flexibility, absence of bloating or blistering during curing, high UV resistance, no need for primer when using materials, non-staining properties, paintability if desired, low VOC values, and ease of application. Köprülü also emphasized that these products are safe for human health and the environment, as their formulations contain no solvents or isocyanates. At the end of the meeting, Engin Ali Kaplan presented handcrafted plaques, prepared by disabled students receiving training at the Bodrum Health Foundation Ceramic Workshop, to KANEKA and Fixa staff members. Guests, given the opportunity to closely familiarize themselves with the superior properties of MS Polymer technology and the MS Polymer-based product range manufactured under the FİXA brand, gathered for a meal accompanied by live music at the end of the event.
