Filli Boya Brings Together Construction Sector and Economic Agenda in Trabzon

The fifth stop of Nippon Paint - Betek's "Filli Boya ile Gündem Sohbetleri" event series was Trabzon. The meeting, which brought together business world representatives, addressed global economic developments, Turkey's trade potential, regional investments, and innovative paint and thermal insulation technologies for the construction sector.

Nippon Paint - Betek held the fifth stop of its "Current Topics Talks with Filli Paints" event series in Trabzon. At the meeting that brought together representatives from the business world, global economic developments, Turkey's trade potential, regional investments and innovative paints and thermal insulation technologies for the construction sector were discussed.

Nippon Paint - Betek, one of Turkey's leading companies in paints and thermal insulation, held its "Current Topics Talks with Filli Paints" event series in Trabzon to strengthen information sharing with business partners. At the organization held in the city, which is one of the economically and logistically important centers of the Eastern Black Sea region, current developments in economics, construction and the building sector were discussed, while urban transformation and construction technologies in the region were also evaluated.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Nippon Paint - Betek General Manager Hasan Gökhan Güner noted that geopolitical developments in global trade create significant opportunities for Turkey. Güner stated that with the reshaping of regional trade in particular, Turkey could become a strategic trade center thanks to its logistics strength and production capacity.

Emphasizing that the company continues its investments, Güner said that following the fully automated water-based paint production facility commissioned in Gebze, the regional growth strategy continues with production investments in Diyarbakır. He conveyed that new production and collaboration opportunities for the Black Sea Region are being evaluated.

Speaking at the event, Assistant General Manager responsible for Marketing Arzu Uludağ drew attention to Filli Paints' technology, research and development and innovation investments. Noting that they benefit from Nippon Paint's global research and development infrastructure, Uludağ stated that the company has operated in the Turkish market for many years with product technologies it has developed.

Local projects implemented in Trabzon were also shared at the meeting. Regional Manager Adem Çelik noted that Filli Paints exterior facade solutions and Dalmapor thermal insulation systems were used in urban renewal work carried out under municipal cooperation agreements. Information was provided that the company's products were also preferred in the exterior facade applications of Zorlu Grand Hotel Trabzon, one of the important structures in the city.

Exterior facade solutions for Black Sea climate
Within the scope of the event, the characteristics of the Nucleus exterior facade paint, which was developed for the Black Sea climate with heavy rainfall and high humidity, were shared. The product, developed with micro-silicone technology and special polymer structure, was noted to provide water repellency, breathability and long-lasting color durability.

Current standards in thermal insulation evaluated
Information was also provided at the meeting regarding the current TS 825 Thermal Insulation Rules in Buildings standard that entered into force in Turkey. It was noted that with the new regulations, not only heating needs in winter months but also cooling requirements in summer are taken into account, while mandatory insulation thickness for different climate zones has been increased.

Participants were also provided with technical information on the energy efficiency, contribution to building lifespan and performance of Dalmapor Thermal Insulation Systems under different climatic conditions.

Economic agenda discussed
In the final part of the program, at a panel with the participation of economics journalist Vahap Munyar and Prof. Dr. Erhan Aslanoğlu, Faculty Member of the Economics Department at Bilgi University, developments in the global economy, the outlook of Turkey's economy, the effects of artificial intelligence on the business world and Trabzon's regional trade potential were evaluated.

With the Trabzon meeting, the "Current Topics Talks with Filli Paints" event series is planned to continue bringing together sector representatives and business partners in different cities.
